  • 3Included Software
  • 4Patches from Notable Creators
  • 5Features at a Glance

Designed to put a panoply of sonic possibilities beneath the feet of electric guitar players, the Zoom G3Xn is a multi-effects processor with 68 different effects, up to seven of which can be used simultaneously. Also provided are five amp and cabinet emulations which aim to replicate the sonic signatures of classic setups; every sonic signature from Marshall to Bogner is honored herein.

Three footswitches allow you to initiate effects, which are all editable via three separate LCD screens, each of which boasts four dedicated parameter controls, which change depending on the effect you choose. At the bottom of the pedal are three more foot controls: two scroll pedals for cycling through banks, as well as a third control for tap-tempo and tuner regulation. An 80-second phrase looper is also available for all your looping needs.

The pedal provides both instrument and auxiliary inputs, and an output section with both a mono 1/4" output and a stereo 1/4" output, useful for monitoring through headphones, implementing stereo effects, or routing stereo signal to interfaces, PAs, mixers, and recording devices. At 7.1 x 12.5 x 2.5", the G3Xn is portable enough to carry from gig to gig, and at 4.0 lb, it's lightweight enough to present only a little added stress to your existing touring rig. With this pedal, you can easily replace—or augment—your existing pedalboard.

Built-In Expression Pedal
The G3Xn features a built-in expression pedal that provides real-time control over volume, tone, or selected effects parameters.

Zoom G3Xn Reviews

Good Quality Effects Processor

By Les Paul Luvr

This was purchased to avoid spending a lot on stomp boxes & pedals until I figure out what I want or need. My decision was based on several videos that I had seen about this processor. I am currently using this with an Epiphone Les Paul PlusTop Pro with Seymore Duncan APH-1 pickups installed & a VOX VT40X amp. I have been using this a lot the last couple of weeks & still haven't tried everything available on it. It is very sturdy & I'm not afraid to stomp on it. There are a lot of presets, but most I will never use. I have been using this to setup effects and chains for my own stuff & songs that I am learning. Using the MS800 amp and a wah pedal it almost nails the tone in Sweet Child O' Mine with my amp. Almost. Setting up chains & effects I have found to be very simple & it's easy to move things around to find the sound that you are looking for & it's easy to experiment with different settings. Can be connected to your PC & things can be edited there if you do not want to do it on the processor itself. The looper pedal function is nice for playing things with multiple parts or just making a rhythm to jam to. It's easy to use when you add it to a chain. Wish it had a little bit more recording time due to certain songs, but you can record & overdub multiple things with it. There are a lot of videos out there of this processor that go into details that I am not covering & I would suggest watching a few to get an idea of everything this processor has to offer. It isn't a replacement for real stomp boxes or pedals, but it does what it was meant to do very well & can help save you a lot of money in pedals or boxes that you may buy & then not like & never use. This processor is not compatible with Zoom's edit and share. If you are looking at this to be able to download & use patches that others have made for songs they will not work. Do your research on which products you can do this with. 4 stars because it isn't compatible with Zoom's edit & share.

Good sound & quality for the money

A very well put together processor, in a sturdy box. I like the fact it has 2 operation mode, Stompbox & Memory. Sound is excellent and a lot of built-in presets giving you a wide range of different sound. And you can download more presets from a user community. The only thing I find awkward is the use of the looper/rhythm which must be part of your patch instead of a separate feature. All in all, I'm very satisfied and I recommend it.

Love this little pedal board.

Really like the sounds, this unit is easy to use and easy to see. The expression/Volume feels like a bigger pedal and so is a pleasure to use.
