Photographers who prize quick access to three at-the-ready DSLRs with mounted lenses will appreciate the black Moose Peterson MP-1 V2.0 Three-Compartment Backpack from MindShift Gear. Designed for on-the-go shooters, the pack eschews laptop storage in favor of zippered pockets and two included accessory pouches. The padded, touch-fastening dividers make organizing gear fast and easy. Use the mounting system to attach a tripod/monopod to the side and front of pack. Carry your MP-1 V2.0 Backpack by the top and right handles, or wear with the padded shoulder harness. For inclement weather and wet environments, a rain cover/drop cloth is included.

    MindShift Gear MP-1 reviews

Moose Peterson MP-1 V2.0 Three-Compartment Backpack (Black) is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice backpack This is a big backpack. I haven't tried carrying it onto a plane *yet*, but it looks like it shouldn't be a problem. In general I'm really impressed with the backpack. I've never owned a very high-end backpack. At most I get the $100-150 ones after they go on sale. This one is really super nice. Aside from that, I have a lot of appreciate for Moose Peterson in general. If it weren't for his podcast I probably wouldn't have known about the backpack or bought it. I love what he does for the wildlife photography community. If you've got a huge lens and a fat camera, this is a great backpack for you. Frankly it holds my D5+800mm better than the trunk nikon gives you with the 800.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nice luggage, but poor backpack I ordered and returned this backpack. It was beautifully designed and thought out as far as the compartments go. I wanted to be able to carry my Canon 800mm lens along with various other lenses and 2 camera bodies in the field. There is little padding on the back of this backpack and the shoulder straps were spindly and narrow. There is no way I could comfortably carry this all day. I will just continue using my old Tamrac (no longer made BTW) which is at least comfortable to carry fully loaded. This Mind Shift MP-1 V2.0 is a wonderful piece of luggage and for working close to a vehicle, but a poor choice for carrying around on your back all day in the field unfortunately. Thanks to B&H for their quick delivery and return policy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic, but some risk I love this backpack, as I can keep my D850 attached to my Nikon 200-500 zoom, or beside my Nikon 500 f/4 in the main compartment, my D500 and D4 in the smaller compartments with lenses attached, and on very short notice I can grab what I need and start shooting. Brilliant design! The one "risk" is that the flaps stay closed (to keep out dust, dirt, bird droppings, etc.)--and it is possible to grab the bag with unzipped but closed compartments and have very expensive glass fall to the ground. Has not yet happened to me, but it is an inherent risk. I love the bag, I like that the flaps stay closed, but I worry that someday I will want to move position quickly and will dump some great gear on the ground, concrete, or down a slope into water.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would recommend this product and but it again Excellent design for my purpose as it allows the backpack to lay flat beside me in the vehicle during game safaris in Africa yet have quick access to my DSLR cameras, even one with a long lens when the action kicks in! Also light weight and very tidy for stowage in Aircraft overhead compartments which is also important during all the flights that are a part of Safari!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bag The only downside for me is that I wish there was more lash points for extra gear to hang on the outside. Otherwise I find the compartmentalization, to be nice the way it's laid out. I like that the flaps close automatically, but it can be annoying sometimes, would be nice if you had the option to keep them open.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bag When I go out and shoot wildlife, my bag is actually a vest. A very large, bulky, dorky, attention-grabbing vest (though, it does the job very well). After traveling with this vest twice via plane, where I wore it onto the plane since it would take up a lot of space in a bag, I decided it was too cumbersome. As a result, I was looking for a bag that could 1) carry my gear, 2) easily be a carry on bag and 3) serve as a bag I could work out of in the field. I watched the video about this bag on the Mindshift Gear website, and the one thing that kept me from buying it initially was not being confident it could fit both my (old) Canon 500mm and Sigma 150-600mm C. I knew the Canon would definitely fit in the large compartment (with a body attached and room to spare), but I wasn't sure if the Sigma would fit in one of the smaller compartments. I decided to buy it anyway and as it turns out, it does fit! In a smaller compartment, I can fit the Sigma (collar and hood detached), a Canon 70-200 f2.8 and two camera bodies. Also, the two smaller compartments are divided by a detachable velcro panel, so if you have a second big lens, you may be able to fit it by adjusting this panel. I haven't traveled with it yet, but it was easy to pack and though large, I think won't be an issue sliding into an overhead compartment on an airplane. After all, it was designed with that in mind. Feels very well made and easy to sling over a shoulder. Two things I wish it had - 1) space for a laptop (though, likely this would make the bag either thicker, and therefore not meet airline regulations about size or cut into the space for gear, which one of the things I like about this bag) and 2) a touch fasten collar pad, which Think Tank uses for their Glass Limo bag. As it turns out, I also have the Glass Limo, so I took that piece of padding/support out and put it in my MP-1 bag. Since this bag is geared towards photographers who have long lenses, this bit of padding seems like a no brainer. Overall, happy with my purchase!
