Moto XT1687 reviews

Moto G5 Plus XT1687 64GB Smartphone (Unlocked, Lunar Gray) is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 153.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would buy this product again, highly recommended. This is the second Moto G5 Plus that we have purchased. We bought one for my wife to replace her Moto G second generation as it had a cracked screen. We were so pleased with the new phone we replaced my phone with the same Moto G5 Plus. This phone works very well on ATT Network, 4g LTE is very fast. Whatever you throw at this phone it handles with ease, be it graphic extensive games, making it a hotspot, etc. It has tons of memory 64GB and ram 4GB, along with adding 32g SD card we are good to go. The battery lasts days when in standby.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm very happy with this phone This is a very nice mid-priced phone. As of now I have had it for 2 weeks and there have been no problems with this phone. Activation and set up were easy. It has a nice display, nice camera, a fast charging time, is very responsive and feels sturdy. I am using it with a CDMA SIM card on the Ting (Sprint) network and have no issues. The Phone-2-Go app from Time Warner/ Spectrum which allows me to call & text via my WiFi works well. Apps I have put on it such as Uber & Lyft work fine. I especially like using it as a Kindle reader. I added a glass protective screen and a case that gives it more grip (since it felt a bit slippery) and a 64GB micro-SD card for my music.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A fast phone with a lot of bang for the buck! I purchased the phone for my own personal use as an upgrade from a Moto G4. I liked the G4, but wanted the convenience of a fingerprint reader. I had seen enough complaints about the G5 plus's call clarity that I hesitated but I decided that these complaints were far outnumbered by the ones with high ratings. All I can say is that my calls with the G5 plus are crystal clear. I am on the T-Mobile network, so perhaps other networks are not as clear. It is also the fastest phone that I've used. I saw the G5 plus reviews that knocked the speaker and the camera, but I find them both to be fine. As most every reviews is a lot of phone for the money and I agree.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid buy New to Android, so I'll try to stick with the hardware vs. software pros and cons. It's been a nice step up from a previous phone, but it hasn't been a perfect experience. The phone is just large enough that it feels slightly uncomfortable to use regularly, especially when you add a case (the reason for four stars and not five). It is very slim and sleek, but also quite tall/wide. There is a screen shrink feature in the Moto software, but why use it? Doesn't make sense to compensate by wasting screen real estate. Just be aware that it's more of a two hand device. The screen quality is great. Camera is great. Responsiveness is good. One-touch navigate using the fingerprint scanner is the saving grace of this phone. Feels solid. Overall pretty nice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Recommend for battery and ROM We got 2 of them, one for my wife was Amazon version on Prime day with ads for a big discount, and then unlocked version from B&H for the son who broke his Moto X. Both are extremely happy with the phone, especially with the battery. They are pretty heavy users and the phone often survives 2 days without the charge. Once the battery eventually degrades it will still last full day with decent usage, unlike all the other phones we had that require charge mid day. Also finterprint sensor is very reliable, and fast and quick stock Android ROM helps as well.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Problems With Verizon Be aware that if you are going to use this phone on Verizon or Verizon MVNO, that there are serious call quality issues. Be sure to read about them at the Motorola website Community/Support Forums. Simply search on Moto G5 plus Verizon and look for a topic very poor call quality. There is a Moto/Lenovo support analyst that is providing updates to a potential fix for this issue. Users report they cannot hear conversations and others can't hear them either. Be aware before purchasing if using on Verizon. I returned mine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great phone I am brand new to android. In the past, I owned an Iphone and a couple of windows phones. I wanted to try out an android phone without a lot of bloatware, and it actually reminds me a lot of my old iphone 4. Anyway, it's very responsive and has the feel of a much more expensive phone. For those of you wanting to know if it's capable of making wifi calls with t-mobile, I can assure you that it is. WIFI CALLING WITH T-MOBILE WORKS! I have t-mobile, and due to poor cell reception where I live it is essential that this feature works. The battery does very well. I easily make it through the day with plenty of charge left, depending on, of course, how much I use it during the day. The screen is bright and vivid. Although I'm not too terribly impressed with the feature that adjusts the screen brightness depending on the lighting situation. It's not as responsive as I'd like it to be. Leaving it sometimes too bright or not bright enough. The camera does a good job, however, I'm comparing it to my last phone, an inexpensive windows phone. I don't know how it would compare to a flagship phone. Overall, I would highly recommend this phone. I've used it for about two weeks. It was easy to learn my way around the phone, and I think you get an amazing bang for your buck!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great phone My first unlocked phone; got it to replace an aging HTC One M8. Pros: faster processor, better battery life, newer version of Android. Refreshing absence of bloatware: I may never buy another locked phone again. Minor annoyances: power button on the side is too easy to press accidentally. Newer phones all seem to have this but to me it's a minus - on top out of the way would be better design IMO. Non-removable Google search bar is too obtrusive and takes up too much screen; this was easily fixed by installing Evie Launcher. HATE the long, garish-colored, unnecessary boot montage with autoplaying audio - do phones HAVE to run what amounts to an ad every time you turn them on? You've already bought the product, why do you need to be advertised to?
