Along with radio transmission and reception for wireless triggering, the wireless TTL master and slave functionality of this flash also extends to standard optical pulse triggering, where the YN600EX-RT II is compatible with both Nikon and Canon flash systems. It has a recycle time of about three seconds and high-speed 1st and 2nd curtain synchronization settings. And, it has a multi flash stroboscopic mode for multiple flashes during a single exposure. It runs on four AA batteries and comes with a case and mini stand.

I have had a Yongnuo flash trigger and two receivers for some time. They work just fine, but when you put the receiver and a heavy flash on a light stand, they are not very stable. So the solution was to buy a Yongnuo flash with a built-in receiver. The flash has a secure connection to a light stand and as an added bonus, it is more powerful than the old 580 EX II that it replaced. The unit came with a nice case but I was surprised how long it is. I had to rearrange the sections of my camera bag to accommodate its length. Connecting the flash and the trigger was easy and it works great. The only negative so far is that when I pulled it out of the case the first time I used it, the rubber cover/gasket around the foot separated from the unit. I more or less re-installed it but it is not a good sign. I would give 5 stars except for the problem with the rubber gasket. The unit does feel solid though.
