Styled in a cerulean blue finish, the Ibanez RG1027PBF is a seven-string electric guitar featuring a double-cutaway body shape, two humbucking pickups voiced for seven-stringed instruments, and a variety of exotic woods throughout. The body is constructed out of American Basswood, and features a 7mm Poplar Burl top. The 11-piece Wizard neck, which has been bolted onto the body, utilizes panga panga, walnut, maple, and purpleheart woods in its construction to facilitate both solidity and sustain. The scale measures 25.5”, while a panga panga fingerboard offers 24 jumbo stainless steel frets with mother-of-pearl offset dot inlays. Luminescent markings on the side of the neck indicate your positioning even on dark stages.
For electronics, this guitar features two DiMarzio PAF 7 pickups designed to impart a classic humbucking tone to instruments with seven strings. A five-way pickup selector switch allows for various combinations and tonal options, while a shared set of volume and tone knobs provides broader level and timbre controls. Strings have been secured to the body with a fixed Tight-End R-7 bridge. At the headstock, Gotoh MG-T locking machine heads preserve tuning stability.
