The MD 300 Dynamic Microphone with Suspension & Popscreen from Microtech Gefell is a cardioid polar patterned microphone optimized for intelligibility with accurate high frequencies and well-balanced low-frequency transmission. It can be used as a close-talking microphone for announcers, broadcasters, as well as for high-quality recordings of vocalists and instrumental soloists during live performances.
The microphone is connected by a standard 3-pin XLR-male plug. The housing is equipped with an integrated internal thread, which allows for shockmounts or microphone mounts. The capsule is mounted elastically in the housing to attenuate solid-borne sounds and impulses.
This microphone is part of the B&H Virtual Mic Locker, an online tool to help our valued customers determine the sonic differences between popular microphones for podcasting and voice over work. Each microphone was recorded using a Grace Design M103 preamp into a Presonus Quantum 2626 interface.
