Ibanez M300C Overview

The Ibanez M300C is a hardhsell ABS case that will protect your Ibanez electric guitar from dents, scratches, water, and dust. This case is designed for RG-, RGA-, RGD-, RG7-, S-, S7-, and SA-Series guitars.

The interior of the case offers a body mold and neck support to cradle your instrument safely and snugly. An interior storage compartment can house your strap, cables, extra strings, and other ancillary items. The case accepts TSA-approved locks.

Note:
This case cannot accommodate except 27" scale models or left-handed models

A little disappointed

While it doesn't speak to the quality of the case itself, mine arrived with one of the desiccant packages broken, and there were little bits of silica all over the inside of the case. For all the guitars and cases I've ever bought, I've never experienced that before. But the real problem is that the two halves of the case don't come together cleanly. The metal rims on each half don't line up properly, so you can't close and latch the case unless you shimmy them around and squeeze the case halves together, which tells me something is either warped or was not assembled correctly. That's a pretty big deal for a case that costs this much. A cheapo that sells for about 1/4 of this price I might expect it on, but not something like this. Aside from that, the hinges on the back look a little flimsy. They could be made from chrome-covered titanium for all I know, but they don't look real solid. Otherwise, it's a decent case. It fits an RG or an S well, the ABS plastic feels solid - you have to like that sort of micro-diamond cut texturing that they do, and interior seems nice. It could do with a larger cutout though, perhaps extending under the middle of the neck support a little, so you can fit one of those huge Ibanez manuals flat in the storage cutouts - maybe with a lid too.

I'm blown away at how nice this case is. I wish I had bought one years ago. Nicer than any case I've owned including my custom Charvel.

Unfortunately, the MB300C is not sized to fit 27" scale models like the Ibanez S8.
