DigiGear SDXCF1 Reviews

Works, just not as well as I had hoped

I bought this in the hopes that it would solve the issue of the dwindling supply of CF cards for my 5D mkIII. It does work however the card adapter is the bottleneck. I purchased 2 Lexar SD cards that exceed the write speed of the camera however this was significantly slower than the card I currently have (Delkin Devices 128GB CF 1050X UDMA 7) which is no longer available. I'm able to get about 28 photos before the camera starts to buffer with that card however with this adapter and Lexar I can manage to get about 16 before it starts to buffer. There are only 2 adapters at B&H and this is one of them. The other one folks reported that it did no fit in their CF card slot properly so I went with this one. It fits just fine and works just slower than I would like.

Did not work

Ordered for use with an older Olympus E510. Did not work despite trying various SD cards.

Will this adapter work in a Nikon D700?
Asked by: Nelson
It definitely will work at least as an SD card adapter. I use it with a Toshiba Flashair w-04 32gb sd card on D800e and it works as expected. The only drawback is that the wifi sd card drains the camera's battery very fast.
