The LegacyPro Mic-X Film Developer is a low grain developer that produces a brownish tone with a low fog level on the film and with minimal loss in film speed. The Mic-X Developer will make 1 gallon that can be used at full strength or diluted 1+3, and can be used within a tray or a small or large developing tank. Additionally, LegacyPro has followed a similar formula from Kodak's Microdol-X to create the Mic-X Developer.

I use this developer on the vast majority of the film I process. There wasn't a large amount of data available for some films, and some cases no information was available, so I started at 9 minutes and worked up to the times that worked for each one, typically, around 11 minutes for most. Fomapan 200 does well at 9 minutes. I downloaded Kodak's data sheet for Microdol-X and began replenishing the stock solution as per the instructions. So far I have had this batch for ten months, and have forgotten how many rolls I have developed in it, and it is still working pretty well. It turned a magenta color, but I'm happy with the results so far. At about $20.00 per packet of powder, I think I'm getting more than my money's worth, so I'll keep using this developer for while.
Mic-X is generic Microdol-X which Kodak discontinued. I had one can of Microdol-X left and needed a substitute. Mix-X works for me.
