Slik Pro 700 DX Tripod with 700DX Pan/Tilt He... Overview

This titanium-colored,SLIK Pro 700 DX Tripod with 700 DX 3-Way, Pan-and-Tilt Head supports up to 19.8 lb, measures 29.9" when folded, and includes a quick release plate. Each of its 3-section legs features an independent spread, a 3-position angle lock, and flip locks for fast deployment. Cameras, sport optics, or camcorders that are compatible with a 1/4"-20 mount can be connected to the quick release plate, which is secured to the tripod's pan-and-tilt head using a quick release cam lock. The head can be rotated 360°, and tilted 90° backwards or forwards, as well as sideways for portrait orientation. Each of these three movements function independently of each other and can be locked into place.

For added versatility, the center column is reversible, facilitating low-angle photography where an attached camera is positioned among the tripod's legs instead of above them. Foam covers on each of the legs provide a secure and comfortable grip while moving the tripod, and rubber feet help to enhance stability on a wide variety of surfaces.

This is a very sturdy stand. I use it when recording videos. Pretty good quality for the price. I'm using it with my Canon 6D and some large lenses and it is wonderful.

Head needs work

My first mid end tripod was greatly appreciative of its great legs, very sturdy and heavy, took a little effort to open them up, legs themselves are resistant to wobbling, same cannot be said for the head though. Its mediocre at best, funky screw plate, that is not as secure as the standard type, and the head itself does not rest at 0 degrees like it should normally, rather it goes further down, slanted at an angle, not ideal for leveling, especially considering the manual states the bubble indicator is not entirely accurate, very damning for a film heavy shooter like myself, also figured the bag could be of a heavier material, since you will feel the metal on your back carrying this around.

I have a tremor in my hands, 3 tripods later I have a tripod even fully extended I can focus with no shake. What a game breaker, if u can't carry 7lbs go to the gym. Thanks for a great piece of equipment

Been using this since 2010.

It's no wonder this tripod keeps selling since 2010. It's never broke on me and is incredibly planted on the ground. It's the best tripod I've ever owned. The only slight down side is it's quite heavy, but you can't complain about the quality.

Very stable tripod.

Best heavy duty tripod I could find. Excellent price. Delivery from B&H was awsome. I use this tripod for a Vortex Razor spotting scope. Long distance viewing is amazing. The tripod must be extremely stable to view details at long range.

This is my second Slik Pro 700DX. I am using my first and it's been through the ringer and and still works like new after 7 years. I got this one for my budding photographer son. I'm sure the second one will work as well as the first.

Excellent tripod for video and photos. It's heavy, but if you don't need to carry it around all the time, that's a good thing - makes it very steady. Don't have to worry at all about it tipping over. Well made.

I needed a better tripod to go storn chasing with my friends. The one I had was lightweight and I risked the wind knocking it over. Not this one! I went for this for the added weight. I wont be hiking with it so it's perfect!

Certainly, just unscrew the head and attach a lateral arm to the legs and then reattach the head to the end of the lateral arm. Click the link below to view your options; https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/buy/Arms/ci/10829/N/4075788750

Will the 3way head support the Photek TRI-X-2500 Tripod Extender with a light weight camcorder or camera. I'm concerned about the quick release. Will everything work together?
Asked by: Frank
This tripod has a load capacity of 19.8 pounds. It should be able to handle the weight of a small camera or camcorder and B&H # PHT2500. However we suggest that you use a sandbag on the other side that the camera is not on to keep the tripod balanced. An option that you can fill yourself, as you may not need a full 5 pounds, would be the ideal choice for that. https://bhpho.to/2K5SHpe
