Linhof Large Leveling Head II with Panorama Plate, Quickfix I Tripod Connector, and Quickfix I Adapter Plate

This Large Leveling Head II from Linhof is designed to allow a camera to be incrementally rotated on a horizontal axis for capturing a sequence of images that are intended to be aligned and merged into a single panoramic photo. It features a built-in Linhof panorama plate with an integrated Linhof Quickfix I Tripod Connector, which is a panning platform with a cam-lock quick release adapter. The panorama plate with Quickfix I tripod connector provides the ability to rotate a camera 360° according to clearly visible hatch marks engraved at 5° intervals. Depending on which camera and lens is placed on this leveling head, as well as the lens's focal length, those interval hatch marks can be used to ensure that images within a sequence sufficiently overlap to form a panorama. Cameras or panoramic head components with 1/4"-20 or 3/8"-16 female accessory threads can be placed on the panorama plate with Quickfix I tripod connector using the included Linhof 003875 Quickfix I Adapter Plate.
