Sunwayfoto PFLO-XT2 Overview

Changing from a vertical to horizontal orientation on your tripod head always meant you were going to lose your center of axis, and landscape and architectural photographers were always correcting for that. The PFLO-XT2 L-Plate for Fujifilm X-T2 from Sunwayfoto eliminates that problem, and also gives you the speed of changing orientation quickly.

The L-plate is Arca-type compatible and has been machined from aircraft-grade aluminum to fit the Fujifilm's X-T2 camera body with a snug fit. The aluminum has been black anodized, making the smooth satin surface resistant to abrasions and corrosion. The design of the L-plate allows full access to the camera's ports and battery chamber. It also does not interfere with the full rotation of the rear screen. On both planes of the bracket are located two safety stops, which prevents from accidentally pulling the camera when the clamp is partially open.

question

Sunwayfoto also makes a product labeled 'PFL-XT2' which apparently allows for removal of the portrait mode part of the bracket. This would seem to resolve the accessibility issues. Anyone tried that?
Asked by: James
The accessibility issues arise from the tripod head clamp being so close to the body of the camera in portrait mode, not the L piece blocking access. As reported, in landscape mode there is no accessibility issue with the L bracket in place. You could use PFL-XT2, get rid of the L bracket and have totally free, unencumbered access. But that would mean you couldn't go portrait.

question

Will the X-T2 accessory ports door clear the bracket structure? I've read elsewhere this may be a problem.
Asked by: Wallace O.
Not really a problem. If you have big hands and short fingernails, open the display screen in the vertical position and you should have good access
