Bridging a comfortable middle ground between compact and full-sized, the Leupold 8x30 BX-1 Yosemite Binocular, in gray, is designed with smaller objectives and narrower interpupillary adjustment range so they can be comfortably used by children as well as most adults. To help offset the lower light-gathering ability of the smaller objectives, the Porro prisms are phase-corrected and the entire optical path is fully multi-coated; which improves light transmission, color rendition, clarity, and contrast across a field of view that approaches wide-angle.

Built for the trail, the Yosemite's optical tubes are nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed to be waterproof and prevent internal fogging when moving through extreme temperature changes. The entire chassis is wrapped in a gray protective rubber armoring that provides a slip-resistant grip in cold or wet conditions. These binoculars are offered here with a case and shoulder strap.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product/ Great Company This is the 2nd Yosemite Binocular that I've owned. I had my first for approximately 10 years. Always very reliable and the perfect size for archery, this binocular can be easily concealed on your chest under an outer layer for quick & easy access and will not get in the way when you are going to full draw. After 10 years with my first Yosemite the eye cups did begin to wear out and break down, so I sent the Binocular back to Leupold to be repaired and they sent me a brand new Binocular! What a great company that stands behind its products! Love these, and would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a smaller, compact binocular that isn't small on performance!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Frustrating I bought this in 2014. I have been completely satisfied with its optical performance. This week I needed to attach the shoulder strap. Absolutely a design disaster. Whoever designed or approved this method of attaching the strap just didn't care. You need 2 people or a padded vise, a small pocket knife, and a pair of needle nose pliers to attach the tiny ring to the body of the binoculars. Even then it takes a LOT of time and effort to get it done.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from getting started mounting the spring rings to the body was a real pain in you know what took hour to get hooked on to my harness. I send this as informational aspects only. I have not used the item as yet. I am excited to use in the field. I am in high hopes it serves my purpose.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love them I bought these almost a year ago and they are perfect not too big and not too small. Bought them in camo. I love that I can wear them without feeling like everything I'm hunting can spot me before I spot them.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from The strap is ridiculous Good binoculars but strap took over an hour to attach. Severe design flaw. One side was wider than the other. Had to toss the wierd swivel things that were impossible to use. They served no purpose. Binocs are fine as long as you don't care about the straps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Favorite binoculars These are great for birding AND for my small IPD. After listening to a bird expert talk about binoculars, these are the ones he suggest for me. Now I'm a very happy birder!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect! Took these on a recent hike in a state park. They're compact, light and so clear! These binoculars are perfect for me as a casual user.
