This tray is great for expensive chemicals in Alternative Photography eg platinum/palladium...gold or silver. No channels in bottom to take up precious developers. It bottom is totally flat and the tray is very sturdy.

Perfect for developing 4x5 Film

We use these in trays in our traditional darkroom classes. The 5 x 7 size is ideal for hand processing 4 x 5 film. They truly are heavy duty and resist staining as long as they are rinsed out promptly after use. Even when they are stained, they respond well to scrubbing. I originally ordered a set several years ago and those are still in great shape. I ordered more to accommodate more students.

Has anyone tried developing 4x5“ X-Ray film on a 5x7” Cescolite Developing Tray? 8x10” Tray would be better?
