LG LGW270 overview

  • 1Description

The titanium LG Watch Style combines enhanced performance and functionality with remarkable style. This sleek-looking wearable features a stainless-steel case, genuine leather strap, and crisp 1.2" full-circle P-OLED display. Beneath the Style's steel hood and Gorilla Glass 3-shielded display is a 1.1 GHz Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor with 4GB of storage and 512MB of RAM in support. A rotating side button lets you navigate the Watch Style's OS and apps, as well as wrist gesture recognition, handwriting detection, and voice command integration. Both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technology are built-in, allowing the Watch Style to connect with either Android or iOS devices. The Watch Style is also IP67-rated to be water and dust resistant, so you can wear it rain or shine.

Android Wear 2.0
With the Android Wear 2.0 update, Google's smartwatch platform unbinds itself from your smartphone. A complete overhaul based on Android 7.1. Nougat, it takes some big features from that OS, including the Google Assistant, superior battery saving settings, and fine control of app permissions. Speaking of apps, Wear 2.0 adds a full-fledged version of the Play Store, so you won't need to shift back and forth between devices to load your apps onto your watch. In fact, you don't need to connect your watch to your phone at all - though you probably should; Wear 2.0 allows for compatible apps to connect to the Internet directly, using either Wi-Fi or, on watches with the requisite radios, LTE. Increased sensor support also allows compatible devices to use Android Pay over NFC.

Other improvements include an update to Google Fit, which allows for the tracking of strength-training exercises on select devices; a QWERTY keyboard that allows direct response to incoming messages; support for homescreen complications, which function like smartphone widgets; and more.
Mix and Match Your Style
Genuine leather watch bands are interchangeable with other leather or silicon bands
Customizable Watch Faces and Complications
Personalize your Watch Style by changing the watch face and complications to suit your preference, need, and style
Easy Navigation and Interface
The Watch Style's rotating side button allows you to easily navigate and scroll through functions and apps
Dust and Water Resistant
An Ingress Protection rating of IP67 means the watch can withstand submersion in a tank of still tap water at room temperature for about 30 minutes at a depth of 3.3'

LG LGW270 reviews

Watch Style Smartwatch (Titanium) is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 53.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from He can't stop fawning over the watch Dear B&H, Thank you for offering this watch at a reasonable price, it is very handsome. However, had I known buying a watch would have killed my romantic life, I would have rethought this before buying. My boyfriend can't stop fiddling with the thing, always tweaking the watch face and searching for apps and stroking and nuzzling this watch ever since he received it as a Christmas gift some days back. He lays it on the third pillow in bed now at night - between us. He named it Nadine and coos to it like a happy baby. Apparently this watch is phenomenal, but very difficult to compete with it as 'the other woman.'

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Happy with the watch! I like the style and general operation of the watch. The battery life is generally good; there was one day that it drained faster than normal. I'm not sure what happened, but after it rebooted, I haven't seen that issue. It usually gets down to no lower than 50% by the end of my day and I charge it every night. The only issue I have so far is with the GMail notifications. I get no visual notification when I get a new email. If I swipe up from the bottom of the watch, it's there, but I can't tell by just looking. I believe this is an issue with Android Wear and not the LG Style watch. Overall still very pleased. I'm sure the software will improve.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very comfortable, the battery is enough. I had a lg watch urbane, I loved the functionality and the fact that it looked like a traditional watch, but it was too big or me. When I bought this one, my main worry was the battery. But it worked out. It lasts the day, and it's enough for me. I usually have 10% battery before going to sleep and recharging it. The watch feels like a normal watch. It's elegant, light and small. The screen is great. It's faster than the urbane. It lacks the heartbeat monitor, but I did not use it anyway, so no problem here. I use it to see the time, notifications, reject calls, remote shutter the camera (selfies with the main camera are great), and to run. I run with my cell phone and Bluetooth earphones. With this watch, I can have the cell phone in my waistband and control volume, music, monitor my run (I use mapmyrun) without touching the phone, which is great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple and stylish I brought the silver one for myself and a black one for my husband. We just want very simple functions. One is we won't miss each other's call (usually it is urgent when we call). Second we won't leave our cell phone at work. The watch is simple but stylish. we can put different watch faces on them and personalize them. Really we seldom miss other's calls anymore. However, the second wish didn't come true. The app for not leaving your cellphone behind is no longer available. Overall, I still like mine and the price is reasonable too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smart watch gets style Seems like just about every smart watch review says something like "Well, you really don't need one, but....". This is my 2nd smart watch (still have my old Moto 360), and the good news is, this is way, way better. Slimmer, stylish, better looking, better strap, better functionality & functions and less expensive to boot. But, I'm still not sure that you (I) need one. Handy to have notice of texts and emails as they come in, and nice to have "OK Google" on the wrist. Generally I'm a thin fashion watch guy, but I'm also a gismo guy. So the more I think about it, on balance, this beauty really hits the sweet spot. Best android smartwatch function wise, and a real looker to boot. I'm a happy camper.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great little watch. Great little smart watch. No battery issues for me. I bought at the 159 price point. I don't think it justifys 200 plus.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Black Friday deal! First purchase from B&H and probably not the last. This was a Black Friday deal that I just couldn't pass up. I had a Moto 360 before that was ready to be replaced. I like the fact that this smartwatch isn't as massive looking on your wrist as most others. Also, no "flat tire" at the bottom of the screen as the Moto 360 was notorious for. It's got an understated kind of elegance to it. This watch along with the LG Sport watch were designed with the Android Wear 2.0 rollout, so it runs great. The only slight negative as many others point out is that the battery life could be better. I don't use the always on screen setting. With the tilt to wake, I can usually get through the day with a little left in the tank. If I turn off tilt to wake, I can get through a day without any problem at all. I purchased an Oitom Premium stainless steel watch band for it and replaced the plain black leather strap that comes standard with the watch and like that look much better.
