Doesn't Clamp onto Standard 5/8 Light Stands

This won't clamp onto a Standard Baby Pin (5/8") light stand. Have no idea what it would be used for but it is completely useless for me as clamping onto light stands, c-stands, boom arms, etc is the reason I bought it. Unless you have gear that is smaller than standard grip gear, I'd look elsewhere.

Well made, sturdy, but does not clamp onto 5/8 pins

I bought this hoping I could clamp it onto a 5/8 inch c-stand arm or 5/8 baby-pin. It does not do this, but otherwise well made of very tough plastic with some metal connecting parts. Compact and pretty light weight except for the steel baby pin which weighs more than the rest of the head. (Comes with a steel 5/8 pin, but the end of this pin that goes into the hole in the clamp is metric sized, and I don't know of any camera or lighting & grip gear that will interface with this size.) The smaller jaws will grip something 3/8, though the thing is set up in metric sizes that must fit some gear that I am unfamiliar with. Limited usefulness for me, and I may try boring it out to fit 5/8 pins though I'm not sure this will be easy or doable without destroying the thing.
