Impact Medium Improved Deep White Umbrella (41")
Key Features
  • Secure Push Button Locking Mechanism
  • Deep Shape for Directional Control
  • White Interior for Soft Contrast
  • Compatible with Most Flash Heads
Useful for shooting head and shoulders portraiture, the 41" Medium Deep White Umbrella from Impact is a unique light shaping tool with a deeper than normal profile. The exaggerated depth makes for a narrower beam than a standard umbrella while still retaining some of an umbrella's wrap around qualities; but with a defined edge. Additional control can be achieved by fine-tuning the "focus" of the beam by varying the flash head's position along the umbrella's shaft. The 16-rib design, coupled with the reflective white interior, results in a soft, even beam at all head positions. The umbrella features an improved finger-friendly locking mechanism for secure and fast set up and break down.

The rendering of the lights are excellent for portrait photography. The price is reasonable and does break the bank. The performance is in par with more expensive Elinchrom 41” deep umbrella. Highly recommend.

I’ve been extremely impressed with the Impact Medium Improved Deep White Umbrella (41"). The build quality is excellent—it feels solid, durable, and reliable even with regular use on set. What really stands out is the light quality. It produces a beautifully soft yet controlled output that still retains a crisp, defined edge when needed. The deeper shape helps wrap the light around the subject more effectively than standard umbrellas, giving a very flattering, natural look without harsh transitions. It’s especially great for portrait work where you want that balance of softness and subtle contrast. Setup is quick, and it pairs well with a variety of lights. Overall, this is a fantastic modifier for anyone looking to elevate their lighting with consistent, high-quality results.
