XYZprinting 3F1JPXUS00B overview

  • 1Description

Designed as a compact 3D printer designed for professionals, the da Vinci Jr. 1.0 Pro 3D Printer from XYZprinting features Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF) printing technology; a build volume of 5.9 x 5.9 x 5.9"; a layer resolution of 20 to 400 microns; a maximum print speed of 100mm/s; and the ability to utilize 1.75mm PLA filaments via its auto-loading filament system. It is equipped with a single extruder nozzle, an enclosed and non-heated print bed, and a 2.6" display. Users may print their compatible .stl files, XYZ's proprietary .3w and .nkg files, Windows .3mf files, or third party gcodes, such as Cura and Slic3r via wired USB Type-B connectivity or SD cards (up to 32GB).

To help keep things running smoothly, this 3D printer uses a 9-point auto-calibration system that determines the distance between the extruder and the print bed so that the extruder may be adjusted accordingly. It also comes bundled with XYZware Pro software and is hardware-compatible with 32- & 64-bit PCs running Windows 7 and above and 64-bit Macs running OS X 10.10 and above with at least 8GB of memory, plus Linux 14.04 or 16.04. Included is a guide tube, a feeding path cleaning pin, five cleaner wires, a USB cable, three pieces of bed tape, a filament spool axle ring, a cleaning brush, a scraper, an SD card, a power adapter, a power cord, and bundled filament.

General Features

Print with 3rd Party Filament
The da Vinci Jr. 1.0 Pro has adjustable temperature settings for the extruder nozzle, helping to make it compatible with 3rd party 1.75mm PLA filaments. With its auto-loading filament system, the da Vinci Jr. 1.0 Pro helps ensure that filament is fed properly.
Auto-Calibration System
The da Vinci Jr. 1.0 Pro uses a 9-point calibration detection system that helps to accurately determine the distance between the extruder and the print bed.
XYZware Pro
XYZware Pro software has increased the maximum printing speed to 100mm/s, decreasing the time you have to wait for your prints to be finished. With adjustable software settings, you can also change the nozzle and print bed temperature, speed, print support, and retraction settings. XYZware Pro is compatible with third party g-codes, such as Cura, and Slic3r.
0.3mm Nozzle Upgrade
A 0.3mm diameter extruder is available as a separate purchase for the da Vinci Jr. series and it is well-suited for intricate print jobs. The 0.3mm diameter extruder can provide a smoother print surface at a resolution of 50 microns.
Improved Wind Duct Extruder Design for Better Prints
The da Vinci Jr. 1.0 Pro features an improved wind duct design which helps enhance the cooling effect to provide smoother printing performance.

    XYZprinting 3F1JPXUS00B reviews

da Vinci Jr. 1.0 Pro 3D Printer is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from USELESS! The demo print is the only thing that printed correctly. Everything else had the filament bunch up around the nozzle instead of each other. I wanted a miniature for D&D and instead what I got was what looked like a literal pile of excrement with feat. If I wanted to see a melted army man I'd watch Toy Story, not buy a $300 printer. Also, after the first batch of failed prints, I decided to give it one last try a few hours later with a cooler head. Instead I ended up spending another hour fixing a jam in the nozzle. This thing is useless unless you plan on dropping this much money on a stupid plastic heart pendant demo then wasting a full day failing at making anything else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Printer This is my first 3D printer so I have nothing to compare it with. However so far so good. I was able to start printing right away with little issue. I know reviews seem to be all over the place with this printer, but if you do some research and watch some how to videos you should be fine. Use the blue painters tape with a bit of purple school glue on the bed and the first layer will stick no problem with little effort to remove. Just ignore the included take sheets altogether in my opinion. After 2 weeks, I would definitely buy printer again. Lots of fun.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Printer This is a great first 3D printer. I did a lot of research and ended up getting this one. It prints perfectly. There seems to be a lot of confusion with this model. You can use 3rd party filaments with this printer you do not have to use XYZs filament. The instructions to unpack the box and setup the printer are great. Their website even has a video tutorials of the setup process so there is no way to mess it up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An excellent entry level 3D printer Our 11 year old grandson asked for a 3D printer for Christmas. He has been taking a class in school working with the program Kindercad. He wanted to be able not only to create but also print his projects at home. We did considerable research online looking for a dependable and easy to use printer. We came upon the XYZ daVinci 1.0 3D Pro printer which had excellent reviews and YouTube videos. We called the manufacturer and they recommended this printer. We ordered from BH Photo. They shipped immediately and we had the printer in two days in time for Christmas. Upon opening the gift, our grandson immediately set up the printer with a little help from his Uncle. Within an hour and a half, he created and printed a minion. He was absolutely thrilled. Since then he has created other objects in Kindercad and downloaded them to print on the daVinci 1.0 Pro. The directions are straight forward and easy to understand. We are excited to see where his imagination will take him next.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bang for buck I bought this for my 12 year old son and he has been very pleased. He got it going by himself and has printed lots of things already. Pleasantly surprised that it doesn't use up filament too quickly and quality of objects printed seems good for the money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible product Out of the box it is nothing but trouble. The software crashes every time I try to print. The "sample " print job was a disaster - PLA filament clogged the print head so it is now broken. XYZ Printing tech support does not answer the phone.
