  • 1Description

Carry your camera securely with this black Carrysafe 150 GII Anti-Theft Sling Camera Strap from Pacsafe. This strap is designed to be resistant to slashing, featuring a camera attachment strap made of Dyneema as well as stainless steel wiring on the rest of the sling to help prevent furtive theft. It rests on your shoulder with a 3"-wide pad and can support small cameras or DSLRs.

The strap attaches to your camera via a mounting plate for your tripod screw mount as well as a connector that fits into one of your lugs. By connecting the camera to a separate slider which rests freely on the main strap, this setup allows you to quickly grab the camera and shoot before the action unfolds. This sling adjusts from 43 to 59" for a comfortable fit and comes with a limited two-year warranty.

    Pacsafe GII reviews

Carrysafe 150 GII Anti-Theft Sling Camera Strap (Black) is rated 2.3 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Maybe Ok for DSLRs, don't try it with a mirrorless camera After I finally got my Fuji X-T20 camera attached to the sling strap, I discovered that the strap prevents use of the camera. The plate that attaches to the bottom of the camera has an overall width of about 4.5 in. When wearing the strap, the plate either blocks use of the right hand to access buttons and dials on the camera, or if you rotate the plate, it holds you so far from the camera that you can't use the viewfinder. If you manage to maneuver the camera into a usable position, the strap falls off your shoulder, turning it into an odd waist strap. You would literally have to take the strap off your body to comfortably and fully use the camera, which renders the strap pretty useless. I might try attaching it to my DSLR.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great shoulder sling camera straps We purchased two Pacsafe Carrysafe 250 GII straps for a 3-week tour of Europe. (Neither strap had any chemical smell.) The cameras used on both was a Canon 70D, with either a 16-35mm f/2.8 L II, a 18-135mm STM, or occasionally a 100-400mm L IS II -- the two L-series lenses (esp. the 100-400mm) being fairly heavy. We had no problems at all with straps -- in crowds, over water, in the rain, on the move -- and we were averaging 4-5 hours per day with each camera, with the longest camera day being over 9 hours. Having the weight on a padded shoulder strap, as compared to any neck strap we used, was quite comfortable, sometimes to the point that one would forget you had a camera. The camera attachment is a solid metal piece with a screw into the camera's tripod mount hole and a separate small strap going to the camera's left strap mount. (There is a threaded hole in this metal piece for tripod mounting, if needed.) This metal piece ends with a rotating D-ring which goes around the main shoulder strap, allowing you to move the camera up the main strap very easily. (Just make sure the D-ring is properly and completely snapped in place before use.) The strap is designed to work best hanging from the right shoulder, with camera on your left side, but can be made to work the other way. (In fact, one of us occasionally had to have both cameras: one was hanging from the right shoulder and the other from the left shoulder -- a little awkward, but the arrangement worked.) The main shoulder strap loop has a heavy plastic detachment clip, part of which is somewhat hidden by the padding, requiring two hands to release, but we never needed to release that clip. After the 3-week trial-by-fire in the real world that we gave these 150 GII straps, we can definitely recommend them. And they were surprisingly comfortable!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from unacceptable The strap weighs a ton and stinks of chemicals! I saw NO notice of it being un-returnable until I searched for a return authorization. I have contacted Pacsafe to see what they will say.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not very useful This strap locks on tight to the camera and does not move. It gets in the way of shoting and on the tripod.
