Really Right Stuff LCF-11 Overview

The LCF-11 Replacement Foot from Really Right Stuff attaches directly to the lens collar and locks into place by tightening the knob. The lens foot is made with a double dovetail design, which adds a quick release functionality to the bottom of the foot.

The replacement foot is compatible with most Arca-type clamps, and the double dovetail allows accessories to attach to the bottom or the top of the foot. By replacing the foot originally supplied, it gives the lens a lower profile and a lower center of gravity, therefore, it has a better balance when the lens is placed on a gimbal-type head.

The lens foot is CNC machined from a single block of 6061-T6 aluminum, and has a type-II black anodizing, which makes the foot resistant against scratches and corrosion. Located on the bottom of the foot are two safety stops, which prevents it from accidentally pulling the lens when the ball head clamp is partially open.

Replaces Nikon's original lens collar foot and provides a lower profile and a lower center of gravity for a better balance

My original footer on my Nikon 500mm fell off in my car while I was putting away my gear after a 2 hour hike on the nature trail. I had the lens and camera on a strap carried over my shoulder. Thank God the footer did not give way while on my hike. Could have destroyed my D850 and the 500mm. I had no idea this original equipment footer could fail. I order the LCF-11 immediately and have been using it on multiple occasions. No problems and it is rock solid.

It does work, but it doesn't lock into place like the stock one. It has a spring loaded lever to lock it which does nothing. As you can see in the photo the spring loaded finger or pawl is positioned too close to the front of the groove so it can't click into the hole in the tongue of the lens. You have to simply tighten it very tight to insure it stays on.

According to RRS, the RRS LCF-11 replaces the Nikon lens collar foot on AF-S Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8E FL ED VR (2016) lens, and has not been deemed compatible with other lenses at this time.

This is not the correct foot for that lens. For that lens you need the Really Right Stuff Collar Foot Package for Nikon AF-S 200-500mm f/5.6E ED VR Lens linked here. https://bhpho.to/3uCRABA. This will work fine on the Wimberley.

Is there a way to connect the Peak Design Anchor Connector to the foot in such a way that doesn’t interfere with the arca Swiss dovetail being used?
Asked by: Lisa
There is no way to attach a Peak Design Anchor Connector directly on the Really Right Stuff LCF-11 Replacement Foot for Nikon AF-S 70-200mm f/2.8E FL ED VR and AF-S 500mm /5.6E PF ED VR Lenses without interfering with the Arca-type dovetail baseplate. However, you can attach the Peak Design Anchor Connector to a Really Right Stuff QD Strap Swivel (D-Loop) and quickly attach it to the replacement foot when not on the Arca-type dovetail baseplate: https://bhpho.to/3UBwIt1.
