Steiner's Airfield Beacon Kit contains ten units, each of which offers a unique capability to send flashing beacons remotely for miles away. The devices use a UHF transceiver with seven discrete channels for remote activation and control of the units. For sending light beacons, each of them offer three groups of LEDs for different spectral band outputs. These LED emitters are located on the top of the housing and are covered with a protective transparent dome. Each device is compact and lightweight and provides built-in permanent magnets, an external loop, and a rail for attachment. It also has a control pad for manual operation, containing On and Off buttons and two dial switches. To withstand rough conditions, the housing is made of aluminum and provides a waterproof (submersible) performance.
