Storm the battlefield with the 2740 1x 3rd Gen Low-Profile Night Vision Monocular. This battle-proven device is ideal for high-speed ground, vehicle, and airborne special operations — including parachute jumps. The monocular configuration provides a night vision capability for one of your eyes, while allowing you to see visible scenery with another eye. This functionality allows you to see while in situations with rapidly changing lighting conditions. Additionally, the monocular features a Beam autogated power supply combiner technology, which feeds a visible input into the night vision eyepiece when you enter bright-light environments and generates stereoscopic vision. At the core of the device is the 3rd generation night vision intensifier tube with a 64 lp/mm resolution, Automatic Brightness Control (ABC), and factory-set constant gain. It can also be factory-configured to have an autogated power supply and a filmless or thin film microchannel plate. The f/1.38 optical system offers a 1x magnification with a wide 40° field of view and a 25mm objective lens, and a wide focusing range from infinity to as close as 1.1'. To ensure visibility in total darkness, the device offers an integral infrared LED illumination system that cast extra infrared light onto the scenery. For convenience, and to accommodate most users, the system also has a 15mm eye relief and a 55 - 80mm interpupillary range.
