Thinking about purchasing Canon EOS 800D/Rebel ...

Thinking about purchasing Canon EOS 800D/Rebel T7i Digital SLR Camera with 18-55 IS STM Lens Black. My question is can I use my iPad to transfer photos. If so what adapter do I need. I also have iPhone. Thank you
Asked by: Diane
You should not need an adapter. Canon has an app that will allow you to transfer photos directly for the camera to your iphone/ipad. I have only done this with JPGs so if you typically shoot RAW (which I do) you'll have to shoot the RAW+JPG option. If you have a mobile RAW editor, you should be able to transfer the RAW files and edit them on your phone or pad. I don't use a mobile editor so I have never done this.

Currently my Nikon Coolpix B700 has 4.3 - 258 zoom. Would I get better close-ups of birds with this camera?
Asked by: Deb
How close you get is determined by the lens you use. Assuming the 2 cameras have similar size sensors, you would need a 300mm lens on the Canon to get closer. Having said that, this Canon is a good camera to discover all the features of a DSLR.

You can monitor the audio levels with the audio level meter on the screen or you will have to connect an external device through the HDMI like an external monitor.

Can i print pictures in a large format using this camera - for example a 20x30 or 40x60 etc. camera or is it the setting i put the camera on? (i am a real beginner...)
Asked by: Esther
You can technically print any size you want. But you need to down load the images to a computer and set the size through a photo program such as the one it comes with PaintShop Pro or the printer driver. Note, sizes over close to 20x30 or larger with that camera you will lose some definition. The reason for that is the camera does not have enough resolution for those sizes. But as for looks in a print it depends on the image and it is also subjective. And when you shoot make sure the camera is set to the highest resolution so you get the best out of the image.
