It took a few minutes to get the old battery unit out but now that I’ve done it once, next time will be a lot smoother. There is a plug at the back of the unit and you have to wiggle the battery up /down to get it loose. The unit is two 12 volt batteries that come out as one.

The battery in my APC gave out after a few years and this replacement was a much cheaper alternative than purchasing a new unit. Installation was a breeze!
