Axler Recodo Overview

Specifically designed for mounting your on-camera monitor to 15mm rods, the Axler MAR-13 Recodo Articulating Monitor Arm is a 13" long articulating arm that supports up to 10 pounds. It is machined from a metal alloy for strength and features three points of articulation that tighten and loosen using a single spring-loaded locking lever. The MAR-13 features 15mm diameter short rods on the end of each ball joint, as opposed to the usual 1/4"-20 threaded studs.

An included anti-twist monitor plate attaches to your on-camera monitor and has a built-in 15mm rod clamp, which allows you to quickly mount and remove your monitor from the arm. All locking levers are spring-loaded and provide good leverage when you need to tighten or loosen the arm. The center pivot features a friction washer to better handle loads up to 10 pounds.

Quick Release Rod Mounts
An included 90° 15mm rod clamp enables mounting the MAR-13 to a 15mm rod setup. This also allows you to mount and remove the arm from the rod clamp quickly, without having to spin it on and off of the rod clamp, simply slide it on and tighten the spring-loaded locking lever.
Monitor Plate
Mount your on-camera monitor to the included anti-twist monitor plate, which features a captive 1/4"-20 tie-down screw and a D-ring clip to help you tighten it without using tools. The captive tie-down screw is in a 3/4" long channel, so you can adjust the position of your monitor, or snug it up against the plate's raised back, which will prevent it from twisting.
Single Knob Tightening
When the arm is loose, the center pivot, and both ball joint ends are flexible and can be moved to almost any position. Tightening the center twist lock tightens the center pivot as well as both ball ends at the same time.
Threaded Mounting Ends
The short 15mm rod ends on each ball joint feature 3/8"-16 internal threading, so you can attach 3/8"-16 threaded accessories or 1/4"-20 adapters.
Center Pivot
The center pivot features a friction washer to prevent the arms from slipping.

Axler Recodo Reviews

Durable.  No question about its capacity

The use case implied by the product pictures does not leverage this thing's beefy rigidity. Toss the rail adapters and use the 3/8 female thread at each end. This locks way more securely than other arms I've used. You can tell by the black oxide steel ends that this thing means business. The locking handle looks awkward in the picture but is not in practice. I bought a second one for the machine shop!

Incredibly tough

I have had many different articulating arms of varying price/quality. This one is by far the best I've purchased. When tightened this arm has no issues holding my Shogun Inferno with large battery packs attached at any angle. There is absolutely no slippage, twisting or any unwanted movement. Incredible value and quality thus far.
