Metal Lens Wrench is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 27.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good solution to a special large format problem. The engagement tips are a bit diminuative. For a Horsemann 45FA compact lens board I had to file away some of the sides to get the Copal #0 down into the board far enough. No problem with regular use on more sensible sized lens boards like 4x4 inches and up. But have a Press camera lens board whose 135 mm Xenar is almost welded down and this thing pops out of the notches before even getting close to the massive torque which would break this lens loose. But that is an exception. Some kind of wrench like this is essential to safely change out or mount lenses without damage to a lens board and the old adjustable spanner types that are much more rugged are hard to find.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use This wrench enables one to tighten or remove a large format lens from a lensboard without damaging the lens or the lens board. It saves the need and hassle of having a camera shop do this task. If you can thread a nut onto a bolt you can tighten your lens to the lensboard with this tool.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple but effective This is built specifically for the retaining ring for view camera lenses. For that it is ideal. It is also something easily carried if needed. Oddly, the picture shown here says Rodenstock but the one I received is printed Linos; it does not matter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great! I use the product to swap lenses between my Cambo Legend studio camera and Tachihara field camera. This little wrench fits the lens ring perfectly. It is large enough to be effective but small enough to take up virtually no room in the camera bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Simple Tool I was deterred by the cost of adjustable spanner wrenches, but this purpose-built lens wrench does just what it's supposed to, at a very reasonable cost.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tightens lenses real good! It's metal, and it works. I love this thing so much that I loosen and tighten my lenses all day long.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buy it! How shall I review this small rectangle of, presumably, decent enough quality steel with some projections? If you shoot large format you know why you need it, and if you haven't got it already run out and buy it. If you don't shoot large format why are you wasting your life reading my drivel? Go buy a large format camera and then we can talk!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great tool, but overpriced Great tool for taking off/on lens from lens boards. Small, light, compact, and fits easily into the pocket of my photo vest. Works great on my metal lens boards. I wish the tines were a wee bit longer for my recessed wooden boards, but it still works better than my previous spanner wrench. My only complaint would be the price.
