The Cordoba 25S is a soprano range ukulele with a solid acacia top and figured acacia back and sides. The acacia body, closely related to koa, lends a bright and round timbre to the instrument. Its 13.5” scale neck has been fashioned out of mahogany, sporting a composite fingerboard, 16 frets, and 4mm Pearloid dots at the 5th, 7th, 10th, and 12th frets. A composite bridge anchors strings to the body, while at the top, strings have been secured with black and nickel open geared tuners.
The instrument features aesthetic touches such as maple and ebony rope-style top binding, a herringbone rosette, and maple purfling. Its nut and saddle have been constructed out of bone to facilitate sustain and resonance at the open strings.
