IOGEAR GCS62 Overview

This switch offers resolutions of up to 1920 x 1200 at 60 Hz, including support for FHD 1080p. You can quickly switch between the two systems with a push of a button or using asynchronous hotkey software. It supports DynaSync so that Windows 7 can read and remember the monitor's video resolution when switching between or booting computers. IOGEAR has designed this switch to work with various operating systems, including Windows, Mac OS X, Sun Solaris, and Linux. Additionally, it is HDCP compliant and firmware upgradeable.

It works very well, but it's not real happy about my lighted keyboard. It works just fine if I keep the lighting on low.

I first used the chat feature to ask what exactly I needed to accomplish what I wanted to do with my 2 mac minis. I wanted to switch between the two. I wound up calling B&H and got a well versed customer assistant. She told me exactly what I needed, so I made the purchase. I am happy with the results of my purchase.

what is the cable lengths?

Since they are hooked up to my system it is difficult to tell, but, it comes to about 36 inches from the hub to the cable ends that plug into your two computers. The one wire that has the switch for switching controls between computers is about 8-12 inches longer.

Does this also support two monitors?

The IOGEAR 2-Port DisplayPort KVM Switch does not support two monitors as it only has one DisplayPort output.

Are there problems using between Mac mini and ...

Are there problems using between Mac mini and desktop pc? Product info says it is cross OS compatible, but some reviews say it does not work with Mac. They could be setting up improperly, but these things also have a history of having issues detecting displays between OS X and windows.

I have personally used this with a Mac Mini and a Windows desktop and had Zero issues. It work perfectly just as expected
