A fast telephoto prime, the Nikon F-mount 135mm f/1.8 DG HSM from Sigma pairs bright and sophisticated optics with intuitive handling and design. As part of the Art line of lenses, this 135mm f/1.8 is designed for high-resolution rendering, and utilizes FLD and SLD glass to control chromatic aberrations and color fringing for notable clarity. A Super Multi-Layer Coating also enhances image quality by suppressing lens flare and ghosting for improved contrast and color fidelity in strong lighting conditions. Additionally, making it an ideal lens for portraiture, the bright f/1.8 maximum aperture pairs with a rounded nine-blade diaphragm to benefit selective focus and shallow depth of field imaging with smooth bokeh.

For Weddings, would you do the Sigma 135mm f/1.8 art, or the Tamron 70-200mm f/2.8mm lens?
I prefer the Sigma 135mm 1.8. It is one of the sharpest lenses we carry, allows a very beautiful compression of the subject, allow the background to disappear, and have beautiful shallow depth of field. Images are much more unique than with a 70-200 2.8. 70-200 2.8 would be more flexible, but Sigma 135mm 1.8 would offer sharper and more unique look.

Has anyone used this lens on a Nikon Z6II/Z7II with the FTZ adapter? How is the AF speed?
It is our understanding that the speed of this lens when mounted on a Nikon F mount DSLR would be the same when using it with a Nikon FTZ adapter on a Z6II/Z7II body.

How does this lens compare to the Nikon 135mm DC f/2? I have the Nikon. Is it worth purchasing the sigma?
The Sigma 135mm f/1.8 DG HSM Art Lens for Nikon F would be a good choice for sports shooting, or shallow depth of field portraits. The biggest advantage over the Nikon f/2, is the f/1.8 may be a little sharper to the edges, when wide open.
