A fast telephoto prime, the Nikon F-mount 135mm f/1.8 DG HSM from Sigma pairs bright and sophisticated optics with intuitive handling and design. As part of the Art line of lenses, this 135mm f/1.8 is designed for high-resolution rendering, and utilizes FLD and SLD glass to control chromatic aberrations and color fringing for notable clarity. A Super Multi-Layer Coating also enhances image quality by suppressing lens flare and ghosting for improved contrast and color fidelity in strong lighting conditions. Additionally, making it an ideal lens for portraiture, the bright f/1.8 maximum aperture pairs with a rounded nine-blade diaphragm to benefit selective focus and shallow depth of field imaging with smooth bokeh.

I own this lens, and I don't own any-to little chromatic aberrations. Which means this lens is very good.

Does this lens have image stabilization or vibration reduction?

Canon R5 and R6 have in-body stabilization which will help as this lens does not have it. If it did sigma denotes that with "OS" .... optical stabilization.

Can this be mounted on standard fe without an adapter?
Asked by: Perry
As the Sigma 135mm f/1.8 DG HSM Art Lens for Sony E is a full-frame lens desigend for the Sony E-mount lens mount, yes, it would fit on the Sony E-mount lens mount used on Sony's full-frame cameras without a lens mount adapter. The "FE" in Sony's lens name indicate it is a full-frame lens designed for the Sony E-mount lens mount, but the name of the lens mount is simply the Sony E-mount, not Sony FE lens mount.

question

I'm interested in buying the 135mm f1.8. But I heard about focus issues in the Art series. How can I be sure that I won't receive a bad copy? I'm in guam and I don't want to experience the hassle of sending back a bad copy and wait for a replacement.
Asked by: Paul Franzchel D.
I have 3 of the Sigma ART series lenses that I use on a Canon 1 DX, a Canon 1 DX Mark II and a 7D Mark II.Have had 0 focus issues. They are very quick to focus. I did a side by side comparison of the Sigma 24-70 f/2.8 and the infamous Canon 24-70 f/2.8L. I think the Canon is far over rated. The Sigma was just as sharp, just as fast to focus. And I think the Sigma produced more true colors.

How does this lens compare to the Nikon 135mm DC f/2? I have the Nikon. Is it worth purchasing the sigma?
Asked by: Tyrone
The Sigma 135mm f/1.8 DG HSM Art Lens for Nikon F would be a good choice for sports shooting, or shallow depth of field portraits. The biggest advantage over the Nikon f/2, is the f/1.8 may be a little sharper to the edges, when wide open.
