For sharing the views with your colleagues or classmates, the head can rotate 360°. The ball-bearing nosepiece has four receptacles for the included 4x, 10x, 40xR, and 100xR DIN achromatic (parfocalled and parcentered) objectives. The 40xR and 100xR objective lenses are retractable to prevent lens damage while focusing, and the 100xR objective lens is designed to be used with immersion oil to achieve maximum resolution. This microscope adheres to the DIN standard and allows you to use any commercially available DIN objective of your choice. While the parfocalled and parcentered feature allows you to use objectives of different magnifying powers without disturbing your focus or re-aligning your specimen, the semi-plan achromatic optics reduce image, color, and field distortion, and deliver a field flatness of 80 to 85%.To generate images with proper brightness and contrast, the illumination system provides a 3W bottom LED illuminator with adjustable brightness and a 1.25 NA Abbe condenser. For more control of illumination and contrast, the scope also has an iris diaphragm and a filter holder.
