GOAL ZERO Boulder 100 Briefcase Reviews

Very heavy. Clumsy...the braces should lock-out as it is a challenge to deploy both at the same time as they keep swinging back. It also needs to be always moved as slight changes in the sun...a few inches...can make about a 5 watt difference. Only performs well in bright full sun, but can only get about 65 watts max from it in full San Diego CA summer sun...I thought it makes 100 watts. On a cloudy summer day it can only make about 10-15 watts. Also, you need to buy an adapter if you are going to use it with some other brands of power stations, like the EcoFlow River. I couldn't find the adapter on B&H so I had to get it somewhere else.

Goal Zero Boulder 100 Briefcase is well made, sturdy, easy to use, compact and not too heavy. Yes, Goal Zero is very proud of their products but they are worth the price. I do have competitive products, so I can actually compare realistically and the Goal Zero Boulder 100 Briefcase is my choice hands down. You can expect, in clear skies, property directed to the sun, to get about 80 Watts out of it, on average in summer. This is a perfect match for Goal Zero's Yeti series "Power Stations" I use this product daily.

Does this work well with the Goal Zero 400 ...

Does this work well with the Goal Zero 400 Lithium, or would the Boulder 50 be a better choice?
Asked by: Mary
The Boulder 100 Briefcase would work great with the Yeti 400 Lithium Power Station. It will provide a faster charge than the Boulder 50 Solar Panel. The Boulder 100 would take about 6-12 hours to charge from 0% to full compared to the Boulder 50’s 12-24 hours.
