Compact and lightweight, the Lighthouse Micro Flash USB Rechargeable Lantern from Goal Zero is a capable and versatile light for camping, emergency preparedness and general household use. This dimmable lantern offers output from 7 to 150 lumens and can run from 7 to 170 hours on a single charge, depending on the brightness setting. It also works as a 120-lumen flashlight, when you need a concentrated beam instead of an area light.

The Lighthouse Micro can be charged in 3.5 hours from a compatible solar panel or from any USB port. It measures 3.7 x 1.5" and weighs just 2.4 ounces, so it won't add much weight or bulk to your gear. It's rated IPX6 water-resistant, able to withstand heavy splashing and rain.

Lighthouse Micro Flash USB Rechargeable Lantern is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pock sized lantern Size/weight matters when packing gear. I've read that Pounds can be pain. Which is a true statement. Most lanterns are simply too big and bulky. This is pocket able and doubles as a flash light, and is dim-able. Most lanterns are simply blinding at night time. This will also conserve battery power. I use bamboo hiking sticks, which are hollow. I might mount this on the top of the stick as a useful torch when walking at night or in caves. I have three minor gripes, but they're not deal killers: 1) No rubberized grip. A bit of tape will fix. 2) The hanger will not accommodate a carabiner clip, directly and still be fold-able and out of the way. A small S-biner might work, or just add a key ring. 3) The location and size of the power switch is on the top, which is very small and awkward to operate. Don't look at it while pressing, you'll see, (or won't for a minute afterwards). It requires pressing with a finger nail, or a hard press with the bare thumb. Otherwise, it's a deal for the price. I may use this as my EDC in my tool kit. Note: BH was late with shipping this, (having to pull it from their warehouse). However, they made up for lost time with overnight via Fedex. Great service.
