The unit is more noticeable on the MRO than on my ACOG. If youre using the sight for recreation or just home defense, probably not worth the money. For police and military, it is a necessary accessory for the MRO. I have read user reviews disputing the need on a red dot optic and I dispute that. I used to carry a 16 M4 with an ACOG but I changed to an SBR with the MRO as we were seeing more close quarters situations than those where the ACOG shines. I didnt have a killflash on the MRO for the first time I used it in real life. I was informed afterward by my own guys that my red dot was very visible and gave away my position. For real life use, it is worth the money. For target/competition, it distorts the clarity of the red dot.
