Yamaha NS-SW100 Overview

The black NS-SW100 from Yamaha is a powered 10" subwoofer designed to provide rich and impactful bass response, making it well suited for home theaters, game setups, and music reproduction. The NS-SW100 utilizes a twisted flare port, which reduces air turbulence noise when compared to a conventional port, resulting in clear and accurate low frequency reproduction.

The inclusion of Advanced Yamaha Active Servo Technology II (Advanced YST) allows the speaker and amplifier to work together to cancel out impedance so the speaker unit maintains linear motion and ensures the highest levels of sound pressure and overall performance. The rear panel offers a single RCA input, power switch, and volume control.

Excellent Subwoofer for Price

I had an older Yamaha sub from a home theater in a box that I set up as my garage stereo. The old sub blew so I picked up this one to replace it. The new one is larger and has a much bigger sound, and hits pretty hard for its size. Perfectly compliments my garage system.

Strong, deep, bass with no distortion and no flutter. Very natural sounding. Not disappointed at all!

Will this work with the Yamaha P515? I have heard it was designed to work with that.

These do work with the instrument as the instrument has the ability to add a pair of monitors and a subwoofer without disabling the internal speakers. Both the and the NS-SW050 work with it, but they require a HOSA HPR-005 Unbalanced cable. It adds more body to the bass end of the instrument.

Yes, the Yamaha NS-SW100 10" 100W Subwoofer (Black), B&H # YANSSW100BL, would be compatible with the Sony STR-DH790 7.2-Channel A/V Receiver (B&H # SOSTRDH790) as long as it is not turned up to maximum volume. This receiver has a considerably higher power output than what this subwoofer is designed to handle.
