Nitecore does not specify the batteries included, but does give a chart showing runtimes. Depending on output level selected it can vary from 1 to 1000 hours.

Does this come with batteries?
No. I bought the extra battery pack the option that is $139 and change. Powerful flashlight but without the battery pack it is to small for my hands. But the optional battery pack makes it a better length for my hands and my hands are not that big. Also I like the led readings on it to show the power left and beam strength you are using. Also very well built flashlight. Hope that helps.
