I bought this to use for portraits outdoors where a softer-than-bare-flash fill was required. I pair this with either a shoemount flash or Lumedyne strobe. Works as expected with both.
I already have the maxi which I use as a key light and have added this as a fill light. I run Nikon SSB-800 speedlights in both and use the creative lighting system in the speedlights and D200s. Works like a charm for portrature and smaller wedding groups.
