Intended for exclusive use with on-camera and handle-mount flashes, the 16 x 22" Chimera Maxi White Lightbank is a good choice when space is tight and you want to remove the harshness evident in raw flash. The lightbank has a white interior that softens the output, tames contrast, and renders a neutral color balance. Unlike other softboxes, this one has a sewn-in front diffusion screen for very fast setup and use.

It works fine, diffuses the light like a soft box is supposed to.
This was my introduction to proper light modifiers. Coupled with a Canon 580 EXII this softbox provides nice even lighting in a small and durable package. Chimera even sells a kit so that you can use two speedlights. The biggest drawback is really the speed ring because it means that while being very portable it takes more time to set up but the trade-off is a really secure and study product. A great investment and a good (and bad) way to be bitten by the lighting bug.
