I thought that maybe because the tripod was a cheaper price it would be a cheap quality, but its made from steel and its very strong! it holds my gopro just perfectly

Great value.

Inexpensive and lightweight, but gets the job done for a speed light or a cell phone or compact camera.

Good value for smartphone mounting

First, yes this is a very inexpensive tripod, and there are compromises. I bought 20 for my students. So even saving $5 on each adds up. I don't know how well they'll hold up, but I mainly bought it for remote teaching so they could use their smartphones for assignments. 1) The lever lock legs seem to be the best feature. They're metal and lock securely. 2) It has a crank column, and with it and the legs I can get it to shoulder height (I'm 511). But the column crank is very plasticky with plastic gears. It's okay, but frankly for such light duty and light cameras I'd rather have a smooth column that I can just raise and lower by hand and lock in place. Cranking is slow. Also one of the cranks fell off. Check in the bag for the retaining screw if this happens, it's easy to fix. It's just a basic screw that you can get at a hardware store as well. 3) The smartphone mount. It's not big, but it holds my iphone 7+ It can't extend much further to hold a bigger phone, it won't hold an iPad. But smartphone mounts alone cost $14, basically the cost of this tripod. The tripod has a quick release plate, so you can attach the smartphone mount to the plate and leave it there. 4) the pan head. This where this little tripod will dissapoint if you were expecting a pan tilt head that was smooth operating for pans and tilts AND able to hold something bigger than a phone or go pro type camera. The best way to use this tripod, is as a holder for a smartphone that can sit 4 feet off the ground, panned and tilted to the desired angle and locked in place. Even with just a phone on it, most of the heads in the shipment couldn't do smooth moves. Some could almost however, if you practice with it. But really, the head is more like a ball head that you set the position, and lock 5) I wouldn't use this with anything heaver than a small point and shoot, and even that is pushing. But! It's specifically advertised as SMARTPHONE capable tripod that extends up to 4 and a half feet high for only $15. I can also see it as useful for those who need to set up a bunch of go pros and smartphones at an event, or whatever. Cheap way to hold a bunch of cameras. 6) First time operating tip: The column crank was very reluctant to move the first inch of travel. I unlocked the crank and slowly and carefully pulled up the head while gently turning the crank, and that got it moving. Then I cranked it up and down several times just for 3 inches, and that smoothed it out. That got the stickiness out they were fine after that. So I totally recommend this based on price if you know it's limitations. If you want smooth pan tilt action on a smartphone tripod you'll probably want to buy something that costs at Least $50. And of course if you need to mount something heavier than a big smartphone, such as a DSLR, you'll want to spend quite a bit above that, for an ok tripod with a smooth pan tilt head.

CHEAP!

Be warned , within minutes of starting to use this thing , there were bits of plastic falling off it. It's probably the bare minimum that would still have utility. I'm still using this thing , but I'm expecting it to fall apart very quickly.

Love it!

Great quality for the price. A little small if you have a big phone.

Good, Quick, and easy to use

The good side is, light weight, small enough to store away or carry without a problem. The height is very comfortable and the stability seems good. It opens and close with ease. The down side, most is plastic and seems to be easy to over tighten or strip tighting threads. The center shaft is a little stiff going up but maybe that will smoth out as more we use it. . Best part, it came with an phone adapter. So easy to use and remove. So I give it a 4.5

Cheap Garbage

Was unusable after a few weeks of light use. The plastic was so cheap that bits of it just kept falling off. It's possible that this might be useful if you need a light tripod for one job and you know it's going to get destroyed, but otherwise I can't recommend it at all.

Good for price

This is my first tripod, so I'm definitely not qualified to talk about this, these are just my impressions. The material is quite flimsy. I bought it for the smartphone mount, and the phone stays secure, but the mount doesn't completely/securely screw on. All the materials feel cheap, but it was cheap so I'm not mad about that. I'll probably buy a different smartphone mount, but the tripod itself is pretty decent and great for the price.

It is compatible but I would not recommend it for your camera. I would recommend something with a better load capacity like the Slik 330. You can click on the link below to view; https://bhpho.to/2v2emJQ

question

Will the tripod head be compatible with my Nikon D4-?
Asked by: Taylor-Jay H.
I use this with my canon rebel dslr and I am totally pleased with it. Good value for the price point. Your Nikon d4 is a heavier camera but it should work just fine with this tripod in my opinion.
