The D-Tap and the 2.5mm barrel plug are well built. I have many devices that require 2.5mm. Sometimes, you can also get away installing on a 2.1mm jack as an emergency if you don't have the 2.1mm version. I recommend getting both 2.1 and 2.5mm for versatility on set. I'm powering a Godox GM-55 with this cable which requires a 2.5mm plug. I also have pictures attached to this review. Works very well for me.
