This 6" long Right-Angle Extension Cable for Canon 18-80 Lens from Zacuto enables extending the lens grip a further 6" from the lens. Useful when you want to retain control, but don't want the handgrip close to the lens. The cable features 20-pin Hirose connectors on each end, and the right-angle connector mounts to the lens, which helps the cable clear baseplates as well as the ground when shooting at ground level. The right-angle connector also reduces the torque that is otherwise placed on the connector when using a cable with a straight connector.

Zacuto Z-C18RC Reviews
Acute angle limits compatibility
The angle of the lens side connector is not a true right angle – it is actually in the 70º-80º range. For the Canon Compact Servo Cine Zoom lenses (like the 18-80mm T4.4), that is no problem, and this extension cable works just fine. However, this angle means that, even though this cable has the right pins, it will not work with the PZ-E2B Power Zoom Adapter for Canon's RF Z zoom lenses (like the 24-105mm F2.8): as you can see in the second attached photo, the bottom of the connector comes into contact with the side of the PZ-E2B before the connector can be seated fully. And, of course, this cable is very expensive. But if you have just the Compact Servo Cine Zoom lenses, it is also very useful. Going forward, I hope that Canon creates a zoom grip that uses USB-C so we can avoid costly and hard to find cables like this one. Also would be nice to control the camera menu from the same grip & via the same cable. But of course that's feedback for Canon not Zacuto.
Very expensive but does the job
As many reviewers have already said, this is an expensive but necessary accessory for the Canon 18-80. I have no idea what the designer of the lens was thinking when the terminal for the cable was placed in such an inaccessible location. Thanks Zacuto for the solution.
