Linksys EA9400 reviews

EA9400 Tri-Band Wireless-AC5000 MAX-STREAM MU-MIMO Gigabit Router is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reliable and fast for streaming Why this? I use high-performance internet service. The speed is around 150 mps downloading and 100 mps uploading. No complaints about that part But, watching movies through Apple tv (wireless streaming from my laptop). got experienced lacks and video quality is not good enough when watching 2k or 4k movies. It's little pricey but wanna try it. Please see the screenshots attached from google speed test and speedtest by ookla. 1 Streaming service is pefect while watching 4k or 2k movies through apple tv. 2. Internet connection is better than before.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DON'T BUY THIS !!! Linksys EA9400 is GARBAGE Good deal on B&H. Works only 1 week. Router keeps rebooting itself. Reset button not working !!!!! The factory reset does not fix this. I have done everything from installing the latest firmware updates. As pricey and named brand as this router is I expected better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great reception & 8 ethernet ports I had some issues with the router connecting to my Xbox 360 & a couple computers & I found out I had to remove it from the 2 bonding channels 1&2 to 3 or 4 so I could get constant working speeds.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worked well for 3 days We have a big house and the range seems fine. We didn't get a chance to really test the speed. It worked for 3 days and started constantly rebooting. After 2 hours on Linksys tech support, they said it is broken and issued an RMA. After I complained about having to send the broken one back at my own cost, they sent me a prepaid shipping label. Just received the replacement last night and so far, so good. My wife thinks it looks like a dead alien spider, with all the antennae.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple and powerful for home use I was able to get this up and running in about 10 mins. It is a very easy router to set up, and exceeds my expectations thus far. My range has improved slightly, as I can now reach my garage. Note that I have a 2-story house and the router is upstairs on one end (I have a 60 ft slab not including garage). I will continue to work on the antennas to get the best coverage (note position two up on each side and two down for 2-story houses). I can now reach my garage and back patio. The 5.0 GHz seems faster than the 2.4GHz channels, but that's just with me switching back and forth while on my couch, about 30 ft and downstairs from router. I wish the online tool and/or app showed the devices connected as a list and not as large thumbnails, but that's just the old-school in me. I would like to see all the ip address info that a list could provide without clicking on each device.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Buy the AC-3200 instead. The replacement for the original purchase, which worked for 6 hours, did better. It worked for 4 days. Same issue with both, the wireless quit working no matter what tech support and I tried. Noticed that they both ran hot. Returned and replaced with a Linksys AC-3200 gaming router and have been thrilled with the performance.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Somewhat Dissappointed This was a fantastic deal on B&H considering this was supposed to be a top-tier router. However I can't say the same for the performance of the router itself. It constantly has WIFI connectivity issues and dropped connections. Both individual devices and sometimes all devices get sporadically dropped at once. Often it takes restarting the router to get connectivity back, but even then some family members are still unable to connect. Other visiting family members complain they have to manually initiate a connection each time they visit, whereas my last router would detect and connect them immediately every time. I have done everything from installing the latest firmware updates to extensive research across the Internet for a solution, but I am still unable to get it to function as it should. As pricey and named brand as this router is I expected better. My justification in that higher price was the ability to manage much more WIFI devices, but instead it has done far less than my previous $50 router ever could.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super easy to install. great speed. This purchase replaced a three year old AC1900 Linksys router. was up and running within 15 minutes being out of the box. Speedtest shows 95+ Mbps for my 100Mps rated internet provider. Very happy with the results and would recommend this router and with B&H
