Moza Air Reviews

So not worth it

I know this has been discontinued but thought I'd write a review anyway in case somebody is looking at purchasing a used one: Don't. Wont balance, won't calibrate, and produces a crazy amount of motor vibration that distorts any any shot you think you might be acquiring. Just a rancid piece of gear.

USB port does not work!

Unbelievable, but no one of the cables that follow this item does not fit the USB port of the gimbal. The USB port is too small for its cables. So I cant ever update it, or use it to control the camera, no timelapse or whatsoever.. But I can give it two stars because I can actually use it as a gimbal and it was quite easy to balance it in camera mode 1, I use a Sony A7lll with a 35mm small Rokinon. But my point to buy exactly this gimbal was the extras features like the timelapse function... So I will not recommend this gimbal.

So far so good!

I know there are tons of gimbal systems out there, some expensive pro level and the more budget friendly like this one. Needed a gimbal for my new mirror-less camera setups. If I need one for my Cinema camera I would definitely have to go Ronin or something, but the Air works perfect for my needs to grab some cinematic b-roll shots. I love the mimic function as well...opens up many new opportunities for some cool, smooth shots.

balancing the gimbal was not easy, but once that hurdle was overcome I obtained great results. I am sure that with more practice I will eventually master it.

It worked for a few times

It rotates the camera rapidly and almost broke my Sony A7s. Contacted manufacture because it's out of 30 days and got no help. They didn't allow me to send back for repair, but kept asking to send the video clip of the problem. I don't want to break my expensive camera, and got to throw it away. Waste of money. It performs great when it works though.

question

Will this work with a Nikon d5 with a 28mm 1.4 lens ? Thanks
Asked by: Eadweard
We think that no one knows the answer to that question. It would have to be tested. Our opinion is it can handle the weight of the camera and the lens. However, balance may not be achievable and there is the strong likelihood that the tall D5 will hit the gimbal with almost any movement.
