I have some older Chimera softboxes and one of the poles was missing its tip, causing it to mount incorrectly. (I bought the boxes new -- turns out I'm getting older too!) I've used Chimera products throughout my 30-year career and they've always been the best. I have tried other brands but always come back to Chimera. If you need a new pole just get it; it'll make everything come together the best. Happy Shooting!

The old poles had plastic tips on the end. Sometimes the tips would fall of and get lost. Ripping the fabric of the soft box when assembling them. Great improvement.
