Suitable for holding flashes or other shoe-mounted accessories, the Wimberley AP-7 Cold Shoe is a versatile adapter featuring a cold/non-electronic accessory shoe on top and a female threaded 1/4"-20 mount on the base. A nylon thumbscrew allows you to adjust tension on the shoe mount for a secure hold and this thumbscrew is captivated by a stainless steel stud for high durability and rigidity. A 1/4" thumbscrew is also included for attaching this cold shoe to optional brackets, such as the M-3 recessed mount portion of Wimberley's own F1, F4, F-6, and F-9 flash brackets, and an anti-rotation set screw is incorporated in the design for longer term mounting applications.

Connects well with other Wimberley products, but also with some older Really Right Stuff. Holds your flash or anything else that fits in. cold shoe very well. Expensive, but worth it.

So, is there a weight limit here? I need to mount a magmod magring with magbox and 2x Godox AD200’s to my Manfrotto ball head, and this seems like the perfect adapter to do it. So will it hold that setup?
While the manufacturer does not explicitly provide this spec, users have reportedly used this product to support up to 2 lb.

Will Sony model flashes fit?
Will Sony model flashes fit?
No. The foot is too thick on flashes with the Multi-Interface shoe, whether Sony or other 3rd party flashes such as Metz. I use the Custom Brackets foot for off camera Sony Flashes.
