Designed specifically for the AKG C414 XLII matched pair (ST), the Upper Foam Insert for C414 XLII/ST Case is a replacement part designed to provide the upper foam insert for the hard case that comes with the C414 XLII/ST. This foam insert sports custom cutouts for the two C414 mics, their shockmounts, and all other accessories.
Note: this purchase includes the upper foam insert only, and it does not include the requisite lower foam insert needed for complete protection of your case's contents.

I should start off by saying, these reviews don't reflect one bit on B&H. They are great to deal with. Top piece is a joke. Falls out when you open up your case (see pictures) because its not cut to size. Can likely glue it on.. If you think I'm being petty about pieces of foam, remember how many thousands of dollars I've spent on AKG products. Everything has been top notch. This product should also meet that standard. Good option if you absolutely need a case for both mics'. Stay away otherwise.
Ordered two of these it's taken months to receive the first one and the order is wrong. According to the item listing the name for the item is upper insert but the picture shown is the lower insert. So now I have an upper insert of which I don't need after months of waiting and I am still waiting for the second delivery, which is gonna be wrong also. When I see an item for sale, I'm buying what I see regardless of what it's called.
