Bought these to replace the same speakers from Bose I had installed near my patio 20 years prior. After so long the sound started to be muted, but they produced great sound for so many year. Highly recommend, even if you can find cheaper options.

I am just using a bookshelf Samsung Stereo that ...

I am just using a bookshelf Samsung Stereo that came with 4 ohm speakers/ 80W per channel. Is there a way to wire these that bypasses the internal transformer, basically making them work the Freespace 51's (which I can't find)?

Yes, The Bose Freespace 360P Series II Environmental Loudspeaker can operate at 4 ohms and can handle 80W of power. If you use the black common wire as negative and the orange 80W wire as positive, you will be using the speaker at full power and bypassing its internal transformer. The Freespace 360Ps and Freespace 51s cannot be daisy chained together but they can be wired directly to your stereo receiver or power amplifier.

I bought two of these speakers to be used with a Sonos Amp (125W channels). Can/should I bypass the internal transformer?

For connection to a Sonos amp, the Bose Freespace 360P Series II Environmental Loudspeaker (Green) should be in a 4-ohm setting. The transformer wattage tap is for the purpose of connecting to a 70V/100V amplifier so that you can keep the speaker limited to a certain wattage, reserving the leftover wattage for connecting other speakers to that same 70V/100V amplifier, which is typically used in commercial retail, grocery stores, and warehouses.
