Not a rigid as a Nanuk or Pelican but that may be because it is so large. Kind of the only option out there for 53 plus rifles.

The lid of the case isn't very durable. doesn't close the best with gun inside.

It's said this product will have "pre-cubed form layers". What does "pre-cubed" mean? Does the form layer fill all the internal space or some part of it has been cut out already?

"Pre Cubed" means you do not need to Cut the Foam. You can simply pull the Foam apart to size to the Rifle. The Case is full without being cut out/plucked.
