Capture photos in vibrant, accurate color over, under, or near the surface with AquaTech's Strike 5000 Flash Water Housing for the Nikon SB5000 strobe. The enclosure connects to an AquaTech camera water housing for a Nikon DSLR. Featuring a depth rating of 33', both the flash and camera housings are designed for shallow water and surface use, and shouldn't be operated at depths beyond 15' for longer than five minutes.

The Strike 5000 has a hot shoe connector for your camera, as well as a bulkhead sync cable connector, and includes a 13", 6-pin cable for attachment to your camera housing. You can also expand your setup by using the optional Y Split Adapter and an extra 6-pin cable to connect two strobes to your housing. Additionally, the Strike 5000 allows for TTL exposure and provides access to all flash functions via mechanical push-button controls.

The polyurethane body and acrylic back plate are corrosion-resistant, so you can rest assured that the Strike 5000 can withstand the harshness of seawater. Both the body and plate are also clear, allowing you to monitor the O-ring seal to confirm that the housing is still watertight. Mount this housing onto your camera enclosure using the supplied prism bracket with two M5 10mm bolts.

Strike 5000 Flash Water Housing for Nikon SB5000 is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Housing The setup is very easy, you can also see the instructions by AquaTech on YouTube. I bought this housing to be more creative when photographing waves and when the light is poor. I tried to buy the NF-910 for my sb-910 Nikon but it wasn’t available anymore which has forced me to buy a new gear. The website says that the housing cannot be used with the sb-910 but actually I just wanted to do a test and the flash fits in the housing. If you are shutting in TTL then it wouldn’t be a problem but if you want the whole functionality of the housing, then you need the Nikon 5000 flash. You will have more control using it in manual mode. It’s bulky and it’s going to add more weight when the flash is inserted but in the water it becomes no problem because it’s buoyancy. Sure I’d recommend this housing.
