The EF-mount Canon CN-E 70-200mm T4.4 Compact-Servo Cine Zoom Lens provides 4K and HDR–compatible imaging for Super35-sensor digital cinema cameras. This lightweight zoom's commonly used 70-200mm range can be further expanded using the separately available Canon EF 1.4x III and 2x extenders. Its color characteristics match those of existing Canon cinema lenses, making for smooth intercutting. Another cinematic feature of this zoom is its nine-bladed iris which can be used to produce attractive bokeh (out-of-focus highlights) effects.

Great companion for the Blackmagic Design STUDIO CAMERA 6K PRO. The zoom range is not as great as the numbers may indicate. Good when paired with the 18-80MM side-by-side.
Incomplete

The lens and the focus/zoom controllers work amazingly well, but the kit is incomplete. Only one of the two controllers can be plugged into the lens at a time. It takes a $500 Y cable to make them work together.
The products work well, but I didn't appreciate the extra $500 surprise.
ikan STR-CN-E-Y is what I had to buy.

Will this lens restrict any of the full frame or 5.9k benefits of the to-be-released C500 Mark ii?
Asked by: Joe C.
This lens only covers up to a Super 35mm sensor. You will be able to use it with the C500 Mark II, but it will not cover the full frame. You will not be able to use this lens in full frame mode with that camera.

With an appropriate adapter for EF mount to Micro Four Thirds mount, such as the Metabones T Speed Booster ULTRA 0.71x Adapter, the lens could be mounted and used on a Blackmagic Pocket 4K camera, https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1492781-REG/metabones_mbspef_m43_bt8_t_speed_booster_ultra.html/qa

question
Can I use a zoom and focus controller at the same time with this lens. I want to use the ZSD-300D and the FPD-400D. Can I use both of these at the same time?
Asked by: Dean
There is a 20-pin HRS Connector on the lenses. This is so you can use a Zacuto Z-CNYC Y-cable and Canons FPD-400D focus Control and ZSD-300D Zoom Control.

The lens is spec super35 70-200 4.4. Is the 70 to 200 for frame equivalent or is that what it is for super35? If it is for super 35, then is the full frame equivalent like 100-280 because of the 1.4x crop?
Asked by: Chris
Lenses are always listed by their physical focal length and are then subject to the crop factor of the camera, even for lenses designed for Super 35mm. This will be the equivalent of a 105-300mm with a 1.5x crop.
