Sony NP-FZ100 reviews

NP-FZ100 Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery (2280mAh) is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 64.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from More Cowbell!! Thank you Sony for finally stepping up to the battery plate. No more need for a battery grip as this battery last much longer than the old FW50 battery. One thing I must say, though, is to also invest in the Sony battery charger for this battery as in camera charging takes twice the time. Sony does not include the batt. charger with the A7 III, and I see a lot of people complaining about that but... I guess they didn't do their homework before buying so I don't have a lot of sympathy for them... although, obviously, it would be nice if Sony included it as it is not inexpensive.. Anyway, not to digress, this battery is very nice to have and you can shoot all day with it, but, of course, I'd get at least one more and then you are really set.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A "must have" one. Yeah! I was at a Cancun Resort Park in Mexico, some years ago: the sun was up, the weather not too hot, the place popping up with great scenery, colorful, tropical and the three third rule was everywhere. My camera battery died out by the middle of the day! Looking at my bag... no batteries available, even looking for and checking it out several times. I went to shopping area: AA and AA batteries but no camera batteries. What? My good time ended that very moment. I regret it up to now, suffering almost every the same I did that day. Since then I buy spare batteries. Do the same. You are being warned to it, no complaints later on acceptable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from it seems to last like forever i bought this battery so i have two of them for work, and it seems to be enough. I would have a third one just in case it's a long workday, but it should be ok to charge the first one as you use the second and keep going. What i don't like is that they don't come with a lid or anything to protect them

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Much better life than advertized Shot a wedding on the A7Riii this past weekend and though these batteries are rated for only 500 or 600 with that camera? I don't remember exactly but needless to say, I shot over 2200 photos on one and a half batteries. Full 8 hour day of shooting. Also the percentage reading seems to be incredibly accurate. Now I know that's probably partially the camera, but still bravo Sony, you're doing good things.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All Day Performance This battery can last all day and then some. I shoot both 4K 30P at 100Mbs, plus a few hundred RAW stills on my A7RIII and this battery can last a day and half before needing a recharge.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A better Sony battery With my old Sony a7 II, I'd go through a couple of batteries during a heavy day of shooting. I'm using the NP-FZ100s with the new Sony a7 III and can easily get a full day of shooting stills and video with just one battery. I have a couple of these but have never needed to swap batteries during a shoot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Have been waiting a long time. It is great that Sony finally gave us a battery to match with the performance of the A7RIII. I now do not have to worry about battery lifewhen going out for a day of photography. I also match 2 of these with the grip andI have not gotten to the second battery so far with a days shooting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It’s a battery... it works well. What can I say about a battery? It’s pretty good for a mirrorless I suppose. I shot over 1200 images on one battery during an all-day softball tournament this past weekend and had roughly 20% battery left. I’m a Canon shooter primarily, so I’m used to good battery life from DSLR’s and this makes battery worries a non-issue for my A7 III. I use two in the battery grip and I could shoot all day with plenty of power to spare. My only nitpick is that they seem to take forever to charge, and Sony didn’t include a battery charger with a $2k camera body. I don’t really want to leave my camera sitting around with a cable plugged in all the time, so I purchased a third party double battery charger and it works great, it’s just kind of slow. At least the grip will charge both batteries if I just leave it plugged in to a power source while I’m away from home.
